Accessible, detailed, and publicly verifiable explanations of how CoinRobot.AI integrations work and where their security boundaries lie.

OKX: connect your Trading account securely

Quick start: Create the platform API with the CoinRobot IP addresses; create the Connector; start a Plan.

OKX is a major centralized cryptocurrency exchange. The CoinRobot OKX Connector trades your OKX Trading account through a restricted API key: the robot reads balances and places cash/Spot orders, while your assets remain in your OKX account.

OKX signup

If you do not have an account yet, live OKX signup can be started HERE.

Read the complete CoinRobot trading flow for the common route from market data and strategy decisions to execution and balance monitoring.

Most important: Read and Trade permissions only

CoinRobot trades only through the OKX API. Create a key with the permissions needed for Read and Trade; do not enable Withdraw / withdrawal permission. The robot neither needs nor requests the ability to withdraw. Bind the key to the CoinRobot IP addresses below for an additional safeguard.

OKX, MiCA, and your decisions

OKX has announced that it holds a MiCA licence in the European Economic Area. Its current licensing and availability details are published by OKX in its MiCA licence announcement; availability and the services offered can still vary by country and account.

As a centralized exchange, OKX handles account onboarding, identity verification (KYC), custody, access restrictions, exchange rules, and its applicable compliance processes in its relationship with you. You choose whether to use OKX, which strategy to run, and each Plan’s capital and risk limits. Trading has market and execution risk; this guide is operational information, not investment, tax, or legal advice.

Prepare your OKX account

  1. Secure your OKX account and complete any identity verification OKX requires for your location.
  2. Move the capital intended for the robot to the Trading account. If you deposit to an OKX Funding account, transfer it internally to Trading first. Deposit or convert to USDC; it is this Connector’s trading currency and the robot reads the available Trading balance through the API.
  3. Keep two-factor authentication enabled and begin with a small test amount.

Create a restricted OKX API key

In OKX, open Profile → API (or API keys), create an API key, choose a strong API passphrase, and complete the security confirmation. OKX can change the labels or confirmation steps, so follow its current official instructions if the screen differs: How do I create API keys?

  1. Name the key clearly, for example CoinRobot Spot, and store the API key, secret key, and passphrase securely. All three are required by the Connector.
  2. Enable Read and Trade only. Use cash/Spot trading; do not enable withdrawal, funding transfer, or other unnecessary permissions.
  3. In the API key’s IP binding/allowlist field, add all six CoinRobot server IP addresses below.
  4. Save the key, then enter the API key, secret, and passphrase in CoinRobot’s Connectors page. Treat the secret and passphrase like passwords; never send them in chat or email.
IP allowlist: add every address in the OKX API key settings

In the API key’s IP binding or allowlist field, add these approved CoinRobot execution-server addresses. An omitted address can make an API request fail.

188.132.184.222188.132.183.246188.132.129.158
77.92.145.153188.132.184.206188.132.183.95

Do not enable withdrawal permission. IP binding limits where the key works; Read-and-Trade-only permissions limit what it can do.

Add the Connector and start a Plan

  1. In Connectors, create an OKX Connector.
  2. Select the tradeable assets and enter the OKX API key, secret, and passphrase.
  3. Save the Connector. If its API test fails, check that the key is active, the passphrase is correct, every IP is bound in OKX, Read and Trade are enabled, and the USDC is in the Trading account.
  4. Create or open a Plan, select this Connector, review its strategy and amount, then start it. The robot sends cash/Spot market orders through the API; it does not withdraw your assets from OKX.

Balance and trading-fee information

Check the live balance in the Dashboard: open Dashboard and use Open position balances by connector. Select this Connector and load the full account balance to see the current OKX Trading-account balance and the part used by the robot in open positions.

Fees are deducted from the bought amount on OKX: this Connector does not reserve or buy a separate fee asset. The fee is handled as a deduction from the amount received in the purchase, according to OKX’s execution and fee rules. Account for this when reviewing filled quantities and balances.

Security checklist

  • Use a separate CoinRobot API key, bind it to all six IPs above, and keep only Read and Trade permissions.
  • Never enable Withdraw for this Connector.
  • Keep the trading capital in the OKX Trading account and start with a small amount.
  • Never disclose your OKX password, two-factor code, API secret, API passphrase, or recovery codes.
  • To stop automation, stop the Plan. You can also disable or delete the API key in OKX, which prevents new requests with that key.
